Our Story
My name is Maggie Lundquist and I was born, raised, and still reside in Michigan. My love for dogs started at a very young age with a goal of one day being a veterinarian. I also had a dream of having my very own show dog that could compete at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show that my great grandmother and I used to watch religiously on television.
I fell in love first with the Papillon breed when I saw one on the cover of a Dog Fancy magazine in my elementary schools’s library. However, I grew up with a pet store Cocker Spaniel/Bichon Frise mix and while she was the best dog, I made sure to save any birthday and Christmas money with the hope of one day buying my own dog. In 2007, I brought home my first Papillon, Coco, and she was the start of everything we are now.
I started working and showing dogs with the Michigan State 4H Dog Program and I recommend anyone with kids to take a look at what their individual state has to offer. After aging out, I transitioned into judging and teaching seminars as a way to pay back an organization that I loved. I graduated high school in 2013 and spent two years attending Northern Michigan University studying Zoology and Chemistry. After that time my desire pivoted from a pre-veterinary focus and I changed my path to focus on dog training and animal behavior. I spent time as a professional trainer and kennel manager for many years. In 2023, I became the owner of a Pet Supplies Plus store in Michigan, which is where I spend most of my time when not with my dogs!
